RAVEN
OUR FEATURED THERAPY DOG

Raven was surrendered by a client in May 2024. Through our evaluation process, our trainers recognized that she possessed the qualities needed to become a therapy dog.
The K9 Rescued to Rescue Foundation later learned that the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office was expanding its therapy dog program and inquired about a suitable candidate. Raven was then paired with Deputy Boles, and on their very first day together on patrol, she played a vital role in saving the life of a suicidal individual.
When the subject learned that Raven was present, they agreed to come outside to see her. This moment of connection allowed deputies to peacefully and safely transport the individual to the hospital, where they could receive the help they needed.
Since that day, Raven has continued to serve with purpose—supporting not only calls for service but also providing comfort to fellow deputies following critical incidents, high-stress situations, or simply when a friendly visit is needed. Wherever she goes, Raven is there to help, heal, and bring calm in moments of crisis.
